Passive fire wraps are specialised intumescent fire‑protection products used to seal and protect service penetrations such as pipes, ducts and cable bundles in fire‑rated walls and floors. Designed to expand under high heat, these wraps help seal gaps and prevent the spread of fire and smoke, maintaining compartmentation in commercial, industrial and residential buildings.

How Passive Fire Wraps Work

Fire wraps are typically made of intumescent materials housed in a flexible sleeve or blanket. In normal conditions they remain non‑intrusive. When exposed to high temperatures during a fire, the intumescent material expands rapidly, filling the void around services and forming a fire‑resistant seal that helps contain flames, heat and smoke within the original compartment.
