197 St. Georges Terrace – Fire Pump Replacement
BACKGROUND:
Engaged in 2020 by Warrington Capital Partners, Safetytech Fire Services carried out the replacement of the electric and diesel pumpset within the basement level sprinkler valve room.
CHALLENGES:
The building was live with tenants and offlining the system for changeover was not an option. The existing pumpset was also over 40 years old and designing new style pumpset would prove impossible to fit in the same location.
SOLUTIONS:
Working with our pump supplier we managed to have the new pumpset designed as a custom project in order to fit everything back into place. As a result we in fact achieved a better outcome with a more sophisticated install creating additional space to the room.
