Parmelia Hilton located at 14 Mill Street in Perth’s CBD received a full refurbishment. Our scope was to seal all the existing services penetrations passing through fire compartments.
Due to the age and construction material type a tested solution to the NCC requirements was not achievable. Our challenge was finding the correct tested system as the wall types changed from the original scope and also, wall construction changed as we worked through the building. We also found it hard to find a tested solution once the engineers waived the insulation values on metallic pipes. Furthermore COVID created great impact to the program.
Working together with both Adco & fire engineers JMG an alternative solution tested solution was proposed and signed off. This was a great outcome for our client.
