BACKGROUND:
Engaged by Valmont to carry out a 5 floor fitout including removal of a Gas Suppression System & relocation of the Fire Indication Panel for the Colliers International upgrade works.
CHALLENGES:
Removing an ozone depleting substance is always a challenge, especially in a live construction environment. Contributing to this challenge we also had the task of relocating the Fire Indication Panel. We did not want to have the building “offline” from DFES for a period of time.
SOLUTIONS:
Drawing on our expert technicians that hold the appropriate Extinguishing Agent Handling Licence (EAHL) qualification we communicated our methodology with DFES (local brigade) ensuring they were aware every step of the way in the event of an unforeseen emergency. A site visit was arranged with DFES to enable them to clearly understand our methodology which helped the project to run smoothly, on time and on budget.
