BACKGROUND:
Sandvik (Warehouse 1) located at lot 52, Roe Highway Logistics Park was constructed in 2021 by QDC. Safetytech were engaged to design and construct;
- Fire Detection
- Occupant Warning System
- Fire Hydrant Ring Main
- Backflow Prevention Device
CHALLENGES:
COVID had been plaguing the world for almost 2 years at this stage. Shipping logistics throughout the world had been at an all time slow with numerous ports holding materials for longer periods of time due to additional measures in place. We had great uncertainties around the capabilities of procuring certain materials for this project. Material costs were also been inflated for this reason.
SOLUTIONS:
Our good relationships with our suppliers came to fruition on this project. Our suppliers assisted with searching other sources to achieve a great outcome of materials been sourced on time and within the original budget.
PROJECT VALUE:
$8 Million
