BACKGROUND:
Engaged by Valmont Interiors in 2019, we completed a dry fire fit-out over 5 floors for building managers JLL.
CHALLENGES:
The existing building fire services layout felt short of compliance in a number of areas including lack of fire rated cabling feeding floors. As this did not form part of the tender documentation we needed to advise the builder of additional upgrades required.
SOLUTIONS:
Our team worked out of normal working hours to install cabling from the fire indicator panel up through existing fire rated risers to service the 5 floors subject to upgrade works. Our fire rated penetrations team followed through post installation to seal all penetrations ensuring the full integrity of the riser was maintained.
