Parmalat – Harvey Fresh Distribution Centre

BACKGROUND:
Partnering in 2020 with the Sorgiovanni brothers who were the original owners of “Harvey Fresh Milk” our task was to fire engineer, design/construct and commission the completed fire services package for the distribution hub currently occupied by Lactalis Corporation.
CHALLENGES:
Lactalis required a live building at all times for the distribution of milk and juices. This was a challenge as half the new building would be over lapping the existing building.
SOLUTIONS:
As a result the new build would need to be completed in two stages. Stage one included installing all the infrastructure for the fire system including;
- Fire Hydrant Ring Main
- Dual Fire Water Storage Tanks
- Dual Diesel Fire Pumpset
- Fire Detection System
- Occupant Warning System
- Evacuation Diagrams
- Fire Extinguishers
Once stage one was completed the tenant was able to relocate trouble free which allowed for the old building to be knocked and Stage 2 to commence.
This was a great outcome for both our client and tenant.
PROJECT VALUE:
$5 Million
